From anothere Knox City born in Knox city. Raised in O’Brien. Just down the road. My dad was born noth of Benijman. I should have my name on the War memorial. My dad and my uncle are there. Shadie/Wayan Clark.
We lived about a mile and half from town on a dirt road. At the time the only road. I went through the tornado in 55, in old dug out cellar at my grand parents house. Which they lost.
My uncle and ant lived in Knox City.
I can remember those days

Wyman, I was blessed with the privilege of finally having the opportunity to meet you June 4,2010 when I went back to my roots for our Knox City Homecoming. I was born in Knox City and grew up on a farm/ranch 9 miles west of town on the Brazos River. My dear friends whom I’ve know since we were in the 1st grade took me to Benjamin to meet you. Thank you for autographing my book (I now have 3 of your beautiful books) and for taking me on a tour of the old jail in Benjamin. I took your 4300 class 4 years ago and I remember getting a great shot of Mackenzie Park. I think I shot it pretty close to the spot you were at and in the same perspective as the shot above. I cought some great steam coming off the water though ha. I loved your class by the way.
