Wyman Meinzer
Wyman Meinzer is the only official State Photographer of Texas. He was raised on League Ranch, a 27,000-acre ranch in the rolling plains of Texas. Since then, he has traveled across the state many times to capture the first and last rays of sunlight as they kiss the Texas landscapes.
He started his career as a professional predator hunter. He transitioned into a research associate for the university and now teaches a senior-level course in Special Problems Photography at Texas Tech University in addition to his ongoing book projects and freelance magazine assignments.
I have been asked by a client of mine to inquire if you would be interested in having a large-scale photo of yours used in thier development. Please contact me if you have an interest.

Yur West Texas video was sent to me on an email. Just wanted you to know how much I enjoyed watching it. Also, loved the music that was used with it. I was wondering how I could find out the name of the music piece.
Thank you and keep up the beautiful work.
Dear Mr. Meinzer: I ordered two books today (12/14/11) – “Texas Sky” & “Eyes On Texas” – for my husband for our 30th Anniversary. I know that he will be delighted with them – as he loves photography! We lived in Dallas for a few years – Johnie is from Nashville TN and I am from Watertown, SD — I know/feel/see & smell those wide open spaces – I love it – once you get out of Pennsylvania & I start driving to “home” – the road becomes flat so that you can see what is around you – the corn & wheat fields – and farms. I miss it all. And, thank you for signing these books for him! Your photographs are beautiful – May God Bless you so that you may continue your life’s calling – seeing and hearing nature they way it should be and sharing your love of that with the rest of us. Merry Christmas! Sincerely, Barbara A. Goins
A friend sent your “West Texas” video to us via e-mail. Beautiful! I will be ordering the CD by Doug Smith as well as a book or two. My father-in-law was raised in Midland and we have many relatives in TX. Being from Oregon myself, I haven’t had the privilege of seeing much of TX in person — something I hope to change in the near future. Meanwhile I will be an armchair traveler through your great pictures.
I received our cousin’s email of your video “West Texas”, this morning. It is an emotional and visual high. I called my wife in to watch it with me and forwarded it to a daughter who is thrilled by the music and pictures.
I am unable to do much hiking because of health reasons. But I told my wife she should go on one of your expeditions now, while she is strong and healthy. Of course she will always be good looking regardless of age.
I thought I ordered a couple of your books shortly after Christmas. I have not received them nor has their charged appeared on my credit card statement. What is the quickest way I can get two copies of the
Hill Country. Thank you for any information. Wanda L. Driscoll
Wanda, so sorry about this, please let me know which books you ordered and I will certainly look for the order.
Sincerely,
Wyman Meinzer
