The evening storm was moving eastward as my sons, Hunter and Pate, drove along the ranch road in search of a vantage point from which to shoot some images. I chose this location that commanded a view of a vast expanse of badlands and awaited the light. The sun dropped below the cloud cover to the west and shown on this area to the east where the storm continued to build. Within moments this rainbow occurred followed by this incredible bolt beneath the rainbow. It was a moment never to be forgotten.
