Rio Grandes in Winter

After climbing several hills on this winter day I crested one to see these boss gobblers trotting through the snow and bluestem grass. Handholding the heavy 500mm lens I was fortunate to document this memorable moment as the five wild turkey broke through the heavy snow and disappeared into a distant ravine.
Canon F1N, AE motordrive and a Canon 500mm F4.5L lens. Fuji Velvia 50 ISO film.
