I was working on the book, Texas Rivers”, with iconic Texas author John Graves and we were spending time on the Sabinal river near Utopia, Texas. A local rancher was leading me to an area along the west fork of the Sabinal one morning when we neared this low water crossing and noticed the early morning autumn sun illuminating the fog that lay heavy among the giant cypress trees in the river bottom. Hasselblad 501 CM and Zeiss Sonnar 150mm lens. Film is Fuji 100 ISO.
